Can I buy the "Backwattle Original Colourways" in the same yarn bases that I used to get ?

The Honeysuckle "8ply - 70% baby alpaca, 20% silk and 10% cashmere blend" will stay the same (within The House Dye this base is referred to as the Longhorne base). We have our own 4ply Merino sock yarn and we are pleased to be adding a Merino/Silk blend to our collection (it is on its way).  We will also introduce other bases and plan to release colourways in our 12 ply merino base as well as our "Yak/Silk", "Camel/Silk" and Merino/Stellina Sparkle base.

When will the "Blackwattle Original Colour" Yarns be available

We are dying now (as of 1st of October 2025).  Please be patient as we build up our stocks. In the meantime you can join our "Newsletter" ( See footer below ) to receive stock update notifications.  and visit the Stock Page to keep an eye out for new stock releases.

Can I order "Blackwattle original colours" to be dyed ?

Once a colour has been dyed by us.  It will be added to the product page and it will become available for pre-order.  If it is out of stock we will prioritize it and you will be informed when the stock levels are updated.  Each product on our website allows you to add your email address to "receive stock update notifications automatically".  This is the recommended way to stay informed of any stock updates. Pre-orders of 5 skeins per colour (or more) will be prioritized and dispatched faster than orders of smaller quantities as 5 skeins is our batch/lot size. 

Will the colours be "exactly" the same as the yarn I have bought in the past ?

Due to the nature of hand-dyed yarn batches, no the colours will not be "exactly the same".  However Jamo have been trained in the official methods for the "Blackwattle original colour" recipes by the creator herself.  Jamo has had the tick of approval for being executed as per / the official recipe.  They will be as similar as humanly possible. We do expect that customers of "Blackwattle Original Colours" will be happy with the quality and colour replication we are capable of producing.
