Long before spinning wheels were even a thing. People would use drop spindles to create yarn. With the added benefit that its portable. Its a great fibre-craft that you can do while travelling, very calming and only slightly addictive. A great entry point into spinning yarn without the upfront costs of buy a wheel. Come learn the basics of spinning yarn with Andy !

ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS CLASS:
- Learn to tie a leader (and make your own),
- Draft fleece using "Park and Draft" / "Short Forward Draft" methods.
- Ply to produce a sample of plied yarn.
STUDENTS TO SUPPLY: Spindle (top whorl, bottom whorl or Turkish) of between 25g and 45g. ( note: All fibre provided )
NOTE: BYO Spindle or purchase one in the store on the day.
(refreshments provided, please let us know in advance if you have any allergies or dietary requirements).
(NOTE: Courses are for 18yo+ unless otherwise specified, not all trainers are experienced/comfortable working with children. There are also government compliance checks WWCC required for trainers who do work with children, only trainers who have valid WWCC checks are permitted to teach children under the age of 18 years.).
