SPINNING YARN WITH A DROP SPINDLE - with Andy Barrett

Time: 12:30PM to 3:30PM
Location: Skein Machine Yarn Store, 3/276 Shepherds Hill Rd, Eden Hills, Adelaide, 5050

ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS CLASS:  

• Learn to tie a leader (and make your own),
• Draft fleece using "Park and Draft" / "Short Forward Draft" methods.
• Ply to produce a sample of plied yarn.

STUDENTS TO SUPPLY: Spindle (top whorl, bottom whorl or Turkish) of between 25g and 45g.  ( note: All fibre provided )

NOTE: BYO Spindle or purchase one in the store on the day.

(NOTE: Courses are for 18yo+ unless otherwise specified, not all trainers are experienced/comfortable working with children. There are also government compliance checks WWCC required for trainers who do work with children, only trainers who have valid WWCC checks are permitted to teach children under the age of 18 years.).
