BEGINNERS KNITTING - PART 1  - with Amy Myers ( 12yo+ )

This is an "absolute beginners" class.  If you have never knitted before this is the class for you !   You will learn how to make stockinette and garter stitch using knit and purl stitches, under the guidance of an experienced knitting teacher.  

Time: 12:30PM to 3:30PM
Location: Skein Machine Yarn Store, 3/276 Shepherds Hill Rd, Eden Hills, Adelaide, 5050

YOU WILL LEARN:

* The basic terminology / concepts required for beginners
* Learn how to hold your needles / selecting needles sizes for your yarn
* Learn how to make stockinette and garter stitch using knits and purls
* Understanding tension
* Learn how to turn your work
* Tips and guidance from an experienced teacher while you practice your knitting


STUDENTS TO BRING:

* 4mm Knitting Needles ( can be 2 x straight needles or 1 x circular needle )
* Any DK (8ply) yarn, pre-wound into a ball ready to use.

NOTE:  If you plan to purchase needles and yarn prior to the class please arrive 30 mins early so there is enough time for us to wind the ball ahead of the class.
