Description
Get started knitting socks with Simple Socks! This workshop is designed by Pru Raymond to help knitters understand the anatomy of a sock and learn the key skills required to knit bespoke socks for themselves and others. Over the course of the three hours, participants will knit a mini sock to develop the skills and confidence to knit the full size DK and/or 4ply pattern included in the instruction booklet.
Materials required:
• Needles: 3.75mm 80cm circular knitting needle or DPNs
• Yarn: 100 g 8ply/ DK Sock yarn (10-25% nylon, 75-90% Superwash wool)- note that 100g 8ply/DK sock yarn is sufficient to make the mini in class and complete a full size pair using the pattern provided in the instruction booklet)
Skill level:
This workshop is suitable for novice knitters who can knit and purl, can read a pattern and have completed a few basic projects. Ambitious beginners may this class too challenging. Experience of Magic Loop recommended but not essential.
