SIMPLE SOCKS workshop with Pru Raymond

Get started knitting socks with Simple Socks. This
workshop is designed by Pru Raymond for knitters
who have mastered the basics (casting on, knit and
purl stitches) and want to learn to knit socks for
themselves and others. Over the course of the three
hours, participants will knit a mini sock to develop
fundamental skills and confidence to the full size DK
and/or 4ply pattern included in the instruction
booklet.

MATERIALS REQUIRED (student to bring):

• Needles: 3.75mm circular knitting needle with 80cm circumference or DPNs
• Yarn: 100g ball/cake of DK sock yarn (NB a 100g ball/ cake is sufficient to make
the mini sock in class and complete a full size pair using the recipe designed in
class)
• Notions: wool needle, stitch markers, scissors.

SKILL LEVEL:

This workshop is suitable for novice knitters who can knit and purl, can read a
pattern and have completed a few basic projects. Being able to work Magic Loop
is an advantage. Ambitious beginners may find this class too challenging.
