THRUMMED OVEN MITTS WORKSHOP
Learn how to do thrumming in this crazy cool workshop with Amy Myers. Thrumming is a technique that allows you to knit fleece/rovings into the lining of a hat/garmet/glove/sock in order to create an incredibly well insulated and super toasty warm wearable. With use the fibre will matt or felt into a thick and well insulated lining. This workshop will teach you how to knit a cool pair 100% merino wool oven gloves suitable for home use or as a pretty special gift to someone that you know loves to cook !
SKILL LEVEL
Intermediate Skill level (you should have completed a number of small knitting projects eg, scarf, hat etc... ) be confident with knit stitch, ribbing, increasing and decreasing stitches. If you have done it before but need a refresher on the day that is ok as well.
MATERIALS
- 1 x Kathy's Fibres Roving
- 1 x 100g 100% Merino Wool DK Yarn.
- 4mm circular or double pointed knitting needles.
NOTE: If you plan to purchase needles and yarn prior to the class please arrive 30 mins early so there is enough time for us to wind the ball ahead of the class.
